188 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will expedite an application for a person (details supplied) in County Carlow for a home support service for her son who has Down's syndrome in view of the time span since the original application was made to the South Eastern Health Board; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The provision of services to persons with an intellectual disability in the Carlow region is the responsibility of the South Eastern Health Board. I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to examine the matter and respond directly to the Deputy.
