Vol. 518 No. 3

Written Answers. - Drug Side Effects.

Question:

195 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Health and Children if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 107 of 6 April 2000, he will publish the most recent data in relation to the side effects of a drug (details supplied). [11798/00]

The Irish medicines board issues a drug safety newsletter which is circulated to all doctors, dentists, pharmacists and to certain libraries. It is also available from the board's website and copies are provided on request to inquirers, including members of the public.

An update on the drug was included in Issue 8 of the drug safety newsletter. Furthermore, an updated list of adverse reactions to the drug can be obtained from the pharmacovigilance unit of the Irish medicines board.
