Vol. 518 No. 3

Written Answers. - Third Level Fees.

John Perry

Question:

293 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Education and Science if his attention has been drawn to the fact that a person (details supplied) in County Sligo is studying a post graduate course in education, PGCE, in England and a prerequisite of the course is a period of time in a Gaeltacht area; if his attention has further been drawn to the fact that she will have to pay the fees involved; if he will intervene on her behalf and waive the fees in view of the fact that, if she was studying here, no fees would be involved and she will be returning here when she is qualified; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11553/00]

I am having inquiries made in this matter and I will arrange for a response to issue to the Deputy in due course.
