Vol. 518 No. 3

Written Answers. - Army Nurses' Pay.

Deirdre Clune

Question:

109 Ms Clune asked the Minister for Defence when pay increases will be granted to Army nurses as agreed in the recent round of pay increases to nurses; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11772/00]

The application to members of the army nursing service of the agreement reached with health board nurses is being discussed with the Irish Nurses Organisation at present. Any retrospective pay increases will be paid to the ANS once agreement has been reached with the INO. Under the agreed representative arrangements with the INO, discussions on matters such as these are confidential to the parties involved. The Deputy will appreciate, therefore, that it would be inappropriate for me to comment further at this time.
