Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Broughan – the urgent necessity to provide full secretarial and caretaking facilities at Scoil Áine girls national school, Raheny, Dublin 5; (2) Deputy McDowell – the decision by the Minister for Education and Science to terminate the three year infant cycle in St. Joseph's co-educational primary school, East Wall Road, Dublin 3; (3) Deputy Finucane – the need for the appointment of a full-time principal at a school (details supplied); (4) Deputy Bradford – the local authority housing crisis in the north Cork area; (5) Deputy Keaveney – the loss of a premises (details supplied) and the role of the State agencies in this matter; (6) Deputy Ulick Burke – the serious situation that has arisen where children have been withdrawn from a school (details supplied) in County Galway; (7) Deputy Fitzgerald – the crisis in private rented accommodation in the Dublin area; (8) Deputy Crawford – the anomalies in the provision of remission of vehicle registration tax-value added tax under the disabled drivers and passengers (tax concessions) scheme; (9) Deputy Owen – the provision of additional accommodation in St. Patrick's senior school, Skerries, County Dublin; (10) Deputy Upton – the need to ensure that special needs education is included as part of teacher training; (11) Deputy Farrelly – the failure to pay the first part of the lump sum due to nurses.

The matters raised by Deputies Crawford, Ulick Burke, McDowell and Finucane have been selected for discussion.
