Question:196 Mr. D. Moynihan asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will appoint additional driving testers to the Mallow test centre in County Cork. [13928/00]
Written Answers - Driving Tests.
There are currently 17.5 driver testers assigned to the south-west region which covers the counties of Cork, Kerry and Limerick. Driver testers are deployed at the Mallow driving test centre having regard to demand in that centre as well as customer requirements within the wider region. My Department is currently taking steps to recruit additional driver testers, some of whom will be assigned to test centres in the south-west region.
