I propose to take Questions Nos. 88 and 89 together.

The number of cases of sexually transmitted diseases notified to my Department in each of the years 1997, 1998, 1999 and to date in 2000 is as follows:

It should be noted that the figures for 1999 and 2000 are not complete as the relevant returns have not yet been received from all health boards. The health boards concerned have been requested to submit them as a matter of urgency.
