Vol. 519 No. 4

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Bernard Allen

Question:

91 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of people awaiting admission to the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Dun Laoghaire; and the longest current waiting period being experienced by patients. [13983/00]

There are currently 160 patients on the waiting list for admission to the National Rehabilitation Hospital. Three individuals are on this list since August 1998.

The scheduling for admission to the hospital is a matter for the consultant concerned and is determined solely on the basis of medical priority.
