Written Answers. - Army Barracks.

Rory O'Hanlon

Question:

114 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Defence the position in relation to the sale and future of the Army barracks at Castleblayney; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14725/00]

I decided to dispose of the former military barracks to the North-Eastern Health Board for child care purposes. The former barracks was handed over to the board on 9 February 2000 on foot of a caretaker's agreement pending completion of the legal formalities which are in train.
