186 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children the annual additional spend incorporated in his recent proposals to augment the health services; the annual spend in each of the past three years and the anticipated annual expenditure in the coming five years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The figures shown for capital expenditure are as set out in the health component of the national development plan and are expressed in 1999 prices. Total capital investment under the plan over the period 2000 to 2006 will be £2 billion.
The 2000 gross non-capital figure is the original provision for the current year as published in the 2000 Revised Estimates for Public Services. The non-capital provision for future years will be the subject of agreement in the context of the annual Estimates.
