I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Gregory – the threatened loss of a teacher in St. Joseph's co-educational primary school, East Wall, Dublin 3; (2) Deputy McGuinness – the need to introduce a plan of action to deal with the curtailment of anaesthetic services for elective surgery and epidurals; (3) Deputy Broughan – the urgent need to provide additional care assistants at St. Paul's special school, Beaumont, and additional secretarial-caretaking resources for Scoil Áine girls national school, Raheny, Dublin 5; (4) Deputy Noonan – to ask the Minister for Public Enterprise if she is aware of the resolution passed at the AGM of the Retired Aviation Staff Association and if she will state what steps she intends to take to ensure that both the Aer Rianta and Aer Lingus pension funds are adequately funded so that the comparative decline in the pensions of the retired staff of these agencies is arrested; and (5) Deputy Rabbitte – the serious crisis facing the 600 people on the job initiative scheme who face being laid off at the end of the next month.
