Vol. 520 No. 4

Written Answers. - Investment Aid Scheme.

Michael Creed

Question:

64 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the level of financial grant aid available from his Department for the construction and improvement of milking parlours; the locations where these application forms are available; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15883/00]

The national scheme of investment aid for the improvement of dairy hygiene standards was introduced in May 1999 and application forms are available at all local farm development services offices of my Department. The rate of grant aid payable under the scheme, as a percentage of approved costs, is 40% in less favoured areas and 35% in other areas, subject to a maximum grant of £7,000.
