Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Ivan Yates

Question:

69 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if a person (details supplied) in County Wexford will be issued with her full entitlement of special beef and suckler cow premia and any other payments due to her from her late husband's claim in 1999 in view of the fact that her solicitor has furnished all the necessary documentation; and if he will expedite payment in this case. [15950/00]

An application for special beef premium was not received by my Department in 1999 from the person named.

The person named applied for premium on 21 suckler cows under the 1999 suckler cow premium on 3 June 1999. She will be paid the full entitlement of £2,795.94 and a euro top up of £148.89 within the next week. A payment of £1,044.36 in respect of the 1999 beef cow scheme will also issue within the next week.

John Perry

Question:

70 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if he will ensure that a ewe premium is immediately paid to a person (details supplied) in County Sligo; the reason for the delay in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15951/00]

The person named was one of a number of herdowners selected to be audited in respect of his area aid application. This audit has now been completed and the area aid application has been fully processed. Any further payments will issue as soon as possible.
