92 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will advise on the waiting lists for all psychiatric hospitals, including private hospitals such as St. Patrick's, and also the psychiatric units in general hospitals; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15808/00]

Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin):

The admission of patients to psychiatric hospitals and psychiatric units in general hospitals is on the basis of need and I am not aware of any waiting lists in existence for such facilities. Information on waiting lists for admission to private hospitals such as St. Patrick's is not held in my Department.
