Vol. 520 No. 5

Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.

David Stanton

Question:

97 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will make grant aid available to enable the dangerous windows at Kilcredan national school, County Cork, to be replaced; if he will report on their condition; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16165/00]

An application from the management authorities of Kilcredan national school for grant-aid towards the replacement of windows at the school will be processed by my Department in the context of a request by the school authorities for additional accommodation. A technical assessment of the building, including the windows, will be carried out by my Department as quickly as possible having regard to the large number of school building projects on hand within my Department. The school authorities will be informed of the outcome in due course.
