My Department has approved grant aid for Dublin Corporation at the rate of 75%, subject to a maximum of £112,500, towards the costs of a consultancy study of the effects of breaching the Bull Island Causeway in Dublin Bay. Dublin Corporation has advised that consultants have been appointed and the first phase is under way involving consultations with all interested parties. The results of the study, including any relevant data on sea bed levels, will be available in due course.
