153 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in Dublin 9 will have an eye test carried out in the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital; if this hospital is only dealing with applications made in February 2000; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The responsibility for the provision of services at the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority in the first instance. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply directly to him as a matter of urgency.
