Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

Jack Wall

Question:

188 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the current position of an application for funding for a sewerage scheme (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17249/00]

No such application for funding has been submitted to my Department, although I understand that Kildare County Council is considering the proposal under the devolved small schemes programme.

Rory O'Hanlon

Question:

189 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the current position of the development of an extension to the sewerage system in Carrickmacross, County Monaghan; if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 101 of 10 February 2000, there is any change in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17250/00]

The Carrickmacross wastewater collection system has been included in the assessment of needs for capital water services works received by my Department from Monaghan County Council in April 2000.

The assessment will be taken into account in the framing of water services investment for 2000 and future years under the National Development Plan, 2000-2006.
