238 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will have investigations made into the delay in processing an application in the Land Registry Office for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17256/00]
I am informed by the registrar of titles that this application refers to a cessor of limited ownership which was lodged on 12 April 2000. An initial query issued to the lodging solicitors on 14 June 2000 and a reply is awaited before the matter can proceed further.
I am further informed that this is a complex case and that it is not possible to indicate at this stage the length of time it may take to complete. However, I can inform the Deputy that the matter is being expedited.
