Question:254 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of cases brought before the courts in 1999 and to date in 2000 for breaches of custody orders and access orders. [17599/00]

I am informed by the courts service that 37 cases were brought before the provincial courts in the year from 1 August 1998 to 31 July 1999, for breach of custody and access orders.
Figures for the Dublin metropolitan district, and for the current year, are not yet available, but I have arranged for the courts service to make them available to the Deputy as soon as possible.
