Vol. 521 No. 5

Written Answers. - Visa Applications.

Liz McManus

Question:

145 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the reason a person (details supplied) was refused a visitor's visa to come to Ireland to visit a person (details supplied) in County Wicklow; if he will reconsider the decision made on this application and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17638/00]

The visa application in question was refused because it had not been established, on the basis of the documentation supplied to my Department, that the applicant would observe the conditions of a visit visa.

It is open to the applicant to appeal against the refusal of a visa by writing to the visa appeals officer in my Department together with any further information or documentation in support of the application.
