Question:119 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Finance the proposals, if any, he has to decentralise part of his Department to the Waterford constituency; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17607/00]
Written Answers. - Decentralisation Programme.
I am at this stage engaged in a series of meetings with my Government colleagues and intend that the Government will be in a position to take decisions on a new and extensive programme of decentralisation by the end of next month. Until such time as the Government has had an opportunity to consider the matter fully it would be premature of me to comment on the likelihood of any particular centre being included in the new programme.
