Vol. 521 No. 6

Written Answers. - Orthodontic Service.

Michael Joe Cosgrave

Question:

97 Mr. Cosgrave asked the Minister for Health and Children if, further to Parliamentary Question Numbers 157 and 179 of 2 February 2000, he will as a matter of urgency take all necessary action to have essential orthodontic treatment provided to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 13; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17845/00]

As the provision of orthodontic treatment to eligible persons in Dublin 13 is the statutory responsibility of the Eastern Regional Health Authority. I have asked the regional chief executive of that health authority to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
