127 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Education and Science if he has received an application from a college (details supplied) in County Wicklow for the appointment of a resource teacher; the current position in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17807/00]
My Department has received an application from County Wicklow Vocational Education Committee for the allocation of a resource post to the school referred to by the Deputy.
The application has been referred to the national educational psychological service for a report and recommendation. As soon as their report has been received and considered my Department will notify the VEC and the Deputy of the decision.
