306 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Public Enterprise the proposals for legislation being prepared under the auspices of her Department where heads have not yet been approved by the Government; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [19588/00]

Transport Bill.

To establish the Railway Infrastructure Procurement Agency, to make provision for Public Private Partnership related matters, and to regulate the physical operating environment of light rail.

Updating of GSI legislation

Railway Safety Bill.

To update and amend the legislative provisions relating to railway safety, and to extend the powers of the Railway Inspectorate, including the establishment of an independent Railway Safety Board.

Gas Regulation Bill.

To give effect to the restructuring of the natural gas industry.

Bord Gáis Éireann Bill.

Restructuring of Bord Gáis Éireann.

Electricity Bill.

(i)To give effect to restructured electricity industry and(ii)To re-organise ESB as a company under the Companies Acts and(iii)To consolidate existing electricity legislation.

Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty Bill.

Implementation of Ireland's obligations under Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty.

Purpose

Communications (Regulation) Bill.

To provide for the extension of certain powers of the Director of Telecommunications Regulation and to update the regulatory framework in the light of the forthcoming full liberalisation of the sector.

Irish National Petroleum Corporation Limited Bill.

To provide for the sale of certain assets and liabilities of the Irish National Petroleum Corporation Limited and related matters. (This Bill may also make provision in relation to the future of the INPC and/or the National Oil Reserves Agency.

Air Navigation Eurocontrol Bill.

To give effect to the Revised Eurocontrol Convention signed by Ireland in 1997.
