426 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive his 2000 ewe premium. [20679/00]

One of the parcels claimed by the person named in his 2000 area aid application overlaps with a parcel of land claimed by another applicant. Both herd owners have been written to, with a view to resolving the problem and a response is awaited. No payments can issue until this matter has been satisfactorily resolved.

Question:

427 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will received 2000 sheep headage; and if the payment can issue prior to the scheduled inspection as the delay is causing severe financial hardship. [20681/00]

The 2000 area aid application for the person named was randomly selected for inspection in accordance with EU regulations. 429 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive his 1999 extensification payment. [20683/00]

There was a problem with the 1999 area aid application submitted by the person named in that a number of applicants were claiming on the same parcel of commonage land. Question:

430 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive his 1998, 1999 and 2000 sheep headage and ewe premium payments. [20684/00]

No area aid application was received from the person named in 1998.

The person included 78 hectares in his 1999 and 2000 area aid application. An area of 76.97 hectares was determined which is some 1.03 hectares or 1.34% less than the area claimed.

Under Article 9 of EU Regulation 3887/92, no penalty is applied when the difference is less than 3%. Therefore in this case no penalty is applied, leaving the area determined for payment purposes at 76.97 hectares. Any payments due based on this area will issue as soon as possible.

Question:

431 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive his 2000 sheep headage in view of the fact that there is no reason for an over-claim problem. [20685/00]

A parcel claimed by the person named is part of a commonage on which a cumulative overclaim has arisen. The area aid unit is currently seeking to clarify the correct entitlements to area aid on this commonage. It is hoped to have this exercise completed shortly. No payments can issue until this problem has been resolved.

432 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive his 1999 extensification payment. [20686/00]

In accordance with EU Regulations, 1999 extensification premium is paid on all animals paid under the suckler cow and special beef premium schemes if the stocking density on the holding is less than 1.40 livestock units per hectare.

The stocking density for the person named is calculated as follows:

Scheme

LU

Milk Quota

0

Ewe Premium 30*0.15

4.50

Suckler Cow Premium (14 cows @ 1Lu)

14.00

Special Beef Premium

10 Month 23*0.6

13.80

22 Month 4*0.6

22 Month 1*1.0

3.40

Total Livestock Units

35.70

The 1999 area aid application for the person named has been fully processed with no outstanding errors for 28.93 hectares.
The total livestock units divided by the hectares – 35.7/28.93 – give a stocking density of 1.23 Lu/Ha.
The person named will be paid £418.04 suckler cow extensification and £836.08 special beef extensification next week.
