Vol. 523 No. 1

Written Answers. - Civil Service Transfers.

John Perry

Question:

444 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Finance the progress made on the Civil Service transfer for a person (details supplied) in County Sligo in view of the fact that she is on the list since 1998; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19383/00]

Transfers to provincial locations, such as Sligo in this case, are arranged in accordance with an agreement reached with the staff side at General Council under the conciliation and arbitration scheme for the Civil Service. An officer's placing on the transfer list for a particular location is fixed in order of date of receipt of application in the Department concerned. When the applicant's placing on the relevant transfer list is reached, the applicant will at that stage be considered for transfer.
