Written Answers. - Psychological Service.

John McGuinness

Question:

573 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will make all of the assessments undertaken by the psychology department of the South Eastern Health Board in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny available to his mother (details supplied), in particular the assessments undertaken in 1996 and 1998 mentioned in the reply to a recent parliamentary question and a report from a person (details supplied) dated June 1999; the purpose and outcome of recent meetings with a person (details supplied); if anything positive has been achieved in the case; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19940/00]

The provision of services to persons with special needs in the Kilkenny region is the responsibility of the South Eastern Health Board in the first instance. I have forwarded the Deputy's inquiry to the chief executive officer of the board for investigation and direct reply to the Deputy.
