578 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children if a person (details supplied) in County Kildare is likely to be offered breast surgery in view of the fact that she had been awaiting attention for several years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19990/00]

Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin):

Responsibility for the provision of hospital services in the eastern region now rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has therefore asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate this matter and to reply directly to the Deputy.
