899 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the reason a holiday visa was not granted to a person (details supplied) in view of her genuine reasons for wanting to enter the country to assist her daughter who has health problems; and if he will review the case and grant a visa. [19792/00]

I am pleased to advise the Deputy that following appeal the visa application in question was approved on 29 September 2000.
