Vol. 523 No. 1

Written Answers. - School Accommodation.

Willie Penrose

Question:

1063 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Education and Science the current status of an application by a school (details supplied) in County Westmeath for additional accommodation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20295/00]

An application for an extension at the second level school to which the Deputy refers is proceeding through architectural planning. Currently, the post primary building unit of my Department awaits tender documents from the school authority for approval. Once these documents are received and, if found to be satisfactory, the matter of allowing the project to go to tender will be determined.
