Vol. 523 No. 3

Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.

Liam Lawlor

Question:

163 Mr. Lawlor asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will direct his departmental officials to attend to difficulties that have arisen at the location of Lucan educate together school as a consequence of road and boundary proposals from South Dublin County Council which could compromise future development and access to this school project for which the Department has allocated significant financial resources for site acquisition and construction (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21001/00]

As the Deputy will be aware, issues relating to a road plan and traffic circulation in the vicinity of the school in question are the responsibility of the South Dublin County Council. My Department has not previously had any correspondence about the matter.

My Department will now contact the South Dublin County Council about the issues raised.
