Vol. 523 No. 3

Written Answers. - Services for People with Disabilities.

John Perry

Question:

96 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will intervene on behalf of a person (details supplied) in County Sligo and ensure that the new means of transport of the contract hire is immediately put in place in view of the fact that all the medical evidence has been provided and taking into consideration the extenuating circumstances that exist; if he will make a favourable decision; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20980/00]

The provision of services to persons with special needs in the Sligo region is the responsibility of the North Western Health Board in the first instance. I have forwarded the Deputy's inquiry to the chief executive officer of the board for investigation and direct reply to the Deputy.
