Vol. 523 No. 4

Written Answers. - Health Board Property.

David Stanton

Question:

121 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for Health and Children the plans he has for the disused Walshtown dispensary; the ownership of the land on which the dispensary building is located; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21187/00]

Under the Health (Amendment) (No. 3) Act, 1996, the Minister for Health and Children no longer has a statutory role in the acquisition or disposal of property by a health board. This function is now a reserved function of the health boards. As a result, the question is being referred to the Southern Health Board for an urgent reply.
