Vol. 523 No. 4

Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.

Austin Deasy

Question:

275 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason for the delay in granting approval for an extension to St. Declan's Community College, Kilmacthomas, County Waterford; and when this urgently needed project will proceed. [21417/00]

The stage 4 and 5 reports, detailed design – tender documentation in respect of the proposed extension to St. Declan's Community College, Kilmacthomas, County Waterford are being considered within my Department. The project has been delayed because it was necessary for the design team to carry out a number of amendments to the documentation already submitted.

The question of inviting tenders for this project will be decided when the analysis of the stage 4-5 reports is complete.
