Vol. 523 No. 4

Written Answers. - National Lottery Funding.

Gay Mitchell

Question:

115 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will ensure that national lottery funds are allocated to a group (details supplied) in Dublin 10; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21094/00]

I would like to inform the Deputy that no application for national lottery funding has been received in my Department from the organisation referred to.

As the Deputy is aware there is a set protocol in place in my Department for processing applications for national lottery grants. When a request for a grant is received a standard application form is made available. On receipt of the completed application form it is registered in the finance unit and forwarded to the relevant services division for their assessment, evaluation and recommendation. All applications are then considered in the context of the recommendation from the services division and the overall level of funds available.

An application form was forwarded to the organisation referred by the Deputy on 5 October 2000.
