203 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Health and Children the current waiting list for cataract surgery at the Cork University Hospital; the number of procedures carried out to date in 2000; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21520/00]

The number on the waiting list for cataract surgery at Cork University Hospital on 30 June 2000, which is the latest date for which figures are available, was 376.

The number of cataract surgery procedures undertaken at Cork University Hospital up to Friday, 6 October 2000, was 820.
