Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Broughan – the urgent need to provide a training premises for Glin Boxing Club, Coolock, Dublin 17; (2) Deputy Ring – the urgent need to provide a new five classroom building for St. Anthony's special school, Castlebar, County Mayo; (3) Deputy Timmins – the provision of speech and language therapy to a person (details supplied) in County Wicklow; (4) Deputy Connaughton – the future for hospital services in Tuam following the closure of the Bon Secours Hospital; (5) Deputy Killeen – the staffing crisis in the Customs National Drugs Team Investigation Bureau and Revenue Mobile Service; (6) Deputy Dukes – the serious income losses for hill sheep farmers as a result of the replacement of headage payments by area based payments; (7) Deputy Gerard Reynolds – the need to immediately increase the free fuel allowance payment due to the increase in fuel costs; (8) Deputy Hogan – the failure of the Minister for Health and Children to arrange the necessary places in hospitals for children requiring heart operations; (9) Deputy Gay Mitchell – the delays of up to three years in having the occupational therapy unit of the Eastern Regional Health Authority assess the needs of disabled and elderly people; (10) Deputy Michael Kitt – the implications for health services and employment in the Tuam region following on the decision to close the Bon Secours Hospital; (11) Deputy Jim Higgins – the withdrawal of physiotherapy and speech therapy facilities at St. Anthony's special school, Castlebar, County Mayo; (12) Deputy Kenny – the provision of new school accommodation at St. Anthony's special school, Castlebar, County Mayo; (13) Deputy O'Sullivan – the need for the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform to take steps to ensure that pay and conditions for women at work are the same as their male counterparts; (14) Deputy Clune – the need for a statement on the works that are being carried out in the Killarney National Park by Kerry County Council in conjunction with Dúchas; (15) Deputy Penrose – the need for the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development to outline his proposals for the future of agricultural colleges; (16) Deputy Ellis – the future status and development of Sligo Borough; (17) Deputy Neville – the death of a 15 year old girl (details supplied) after she absconded from the care of the Eastern Regional Health Authority and (18) Deputy Ulick Burke – the need for alternative facilities to be provided by the health board on the closure of the Bon Secours hospital in Tuam.

The matters raised by Deputies Kenny, Connaughton, Hogan and O'Sullivan have been selected for discussion.
