Vol. 523 No. 5

Written Answers. - Garda Stations.

Enda Kenny

Question:

263 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the current position and priority listing of Ballinrobe, County Mayo, in respect of a new Garda station being provided there; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21605/00]

My reply to the Deputy on 6 April last set out the position in relation to the provision of a new Garda station in Ballinrobe, and matters have not altered significantly since then.

Consequently, it is not possible to say, at this point in time, when work might commence at Ballinrobe. However, I can assure the Deputy that there will be no undue delay in starting work on the development subject to satisfactory progress on higher priority projects.
