Vol. 523 No. 5

Written Answers. - Decentralisation Programme.

Question:

324 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Education and Science if any of the bodies (details supplied) are being considered for decentralis ation; if so, when this will take place; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21749/00]

The Government is considering all aspects of the proposed new decentralisation programme. It is intended that decisions will be taken before the end of the year. It would be premature for me to comment on any matter relating to the programme at this point.
