203 Mr. M. Moynihan asked the Minister for Education and Science the current position in relation to the extension to Liscarroll national school, Liscarroll, Mallow, County Cork. [22567/00]

An application from the management authorities of Liscarroll national school for grant-aid towards additional accommodation is being processed as quickly as possible having regard to the large volume of such applications on hand within my Department.

The school authorities will be notified of progress as it happens.

Architectural planning for a building project at Dromach national school is under way at present.

It is not possible at this point to say when construction will commence, however, the school authorities will be kept informed of developments as they happen.
