94 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the percentage of GNP contributed to the Overseas Development Aid Programme by each member state in the European Union; the plans he has to increase Ireland's contribution to the level recommended by the UN; and if he will make a statement on the matter. According to the 1999 annual report of the Development Assistance Committee of the OECD, which is the latest report available, the percentage of GNP contributed to the overseas development programme by the member states of the European Union in 1998 was as follows:
