Recruitment to this Department and to the Civil Service in general is carried out centrally by the Office of the Civil Service and Local Appointments Commission. Whenever required this Department makes staff available to sit on interview boards and generally assist in any way possible with the recruitment process.
This Department participated in a public sector open day, which was held in the RDS at the end of May. Its aim was to promote career opportunities in this Department and in the Civil Service generally. We will continue to participate in any future initiatives of this kind and work to ensure that the Department and the Civil Service generally are regarded as an employer of choice.
