Question:

117 Mr. Collins asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason for the delay in payments of the REP scheme to farmers in County Limerick. [22420/00]

A staffing vacancy at the Limerick farm development service office is contributing to some delay in REPS payments to farmers. The position has improved in recent weeks with the part-time assignment of an officer to the Limerick office. A full-time replacement will be appointed in Limerick as soon as possible.
