360 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will authorise the setting up of an ante-natal clinic at Belmullet Hospital, County Mayo; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that there were in excess of 100 births in the area in the past 12 months; if his attention has been further drawn to the distances to be travelled to ante-natal clinics in Castlebar, County Mayo; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The provision of services in this instance is the responsibility of the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to reply to the Deputy directly.
