460 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Education and Science the position of his Department with regard to the proposed extension at a school (details supplied) in Dublin 9; if he will ensure that the work commences by the beginning of December 2000 so that disruption of another school year can be avoided; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Education and Science (Dr. Woods):

A stage 4-5 submission, detailed design and bill of quantities, for the proposed extension at the school to which the Deputy refers has been received in my Department and is currently being examined. A decision regarding this submission will be conveyed to the school's management authority as soon as possible.
