Vol. 525 No. 2

Written Answers. - Departmental Staff.

John Perry

Question:

373 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Finance if he will intervene on behalf of a person (details supplied) and have her Civil Service transfer granted; if he will make a favourable decision; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23866/00]

The situation is that transfers to provincial locations, such as in this case Sligo, are arranged in accordance with an agreement reached with the staff side at general council under the conciliation and arbitration scheme for the Civil Service. An officer's placing on the transfer list for a particular location is fixed in order of date of receipt of the application in the Department concerned. When the officer's placing on the relevant list is reached, she will at that stage be considered for transfer.
