Vol. 525 No. 2

Written Answers. - Orthodontic Service.

Liz McManus

Question:

515 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will ensure that a person (details supplied) in County Wicklow, who is 11 years of age, gets the orthodontic treatment she requires in view of the fact that she had been receiving treatment for two years prior to the departure of the orthodontist in Wicklow town who has not been replaced and in view of her great need; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24379/00]

As the provision of orthodontic treatment to eligible persons in County Wicklow is the statutory responsibility of the Eastern Regional Health Authority, I have asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply directly to the Deputy as soon as possible.
