587 Mr. B. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of post mortems carried out in the various hospitals over the past two years; and if there has been a dramatic drop in the number of post mortems as a result of recent legislation. [24632/00]
The information requested by the Deputy is not routinely collected by my Department. However, I have asked the chief executive officer of each of the health boards and the regional chief executive of the Eastern Regional Health Authority to collate this information and to respond directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
