604 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of environmental health officers engaged in food inspections in 2000; the number who work exclusively on food matters; and if he will give details in this regard for each of the years 1997, 1998 and 1999 for each health board region. 615 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children the position regarding the review of categorisation in respect of high risk, medium risk and low risk for food inspections. [24693/00]

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland, in conjunction with the regional health boards, has published a Code of Practice on the Risk Categorisation of Food Businesses to Determine Priority for Inspection, Code of Practice No. 1 of 2000.

616 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children the routine sampling numbers both chemical and microbiological, in the first year of operation of the service contract between each health board or authority and the Food Safety Authority of Ireland. [24694/00]
